We’re not going to settle this in front of everyone.
On the morning of December 17, 2025, Guillaume Lemay-Thivierge shared a story in which he revisited his recently announced new project, as well as his multi-hour conference Sacré Guillaume, which would be presented before a live audience on December 21.

As-tu vu quelque chose? Discrétion assurée.
In the wake of his post, Guillaume also dropped a major announcement: the staging of his conference would be entrusted to a figure well known to the public… Michel Courtemanche.
“The good news I wanted to share, therefore, is that Sacré Guillaume will be staged by Michel Courtemanche. I want to thank him; it’s been a long time since we’ve seen him, and he’s making a strong comeback with a staging of a conference (…)”, he announced, visibly excited to share the news.
Michel Courtemanche Takes Center Stage? His Turn to Deliver a Reply?
Having received a flood of messages on the matter, Michel Courtemanche decided to speak up in turn to clarify “the situation,” which he calls “confusing.”
It was on his Facebook page that the comedian stated he had indeed discussed the staging with Guillaume, but did not clearly confirm that he would be the one to take charge of it.
“Well, there seems to be a… confusion or, at least, a miscommunication, or I don’t know what. There are a lot of people texting me and wanting to do interviews (laughs) with me, but it should be related to Guillaume Lemay-Thivierge (…) he said that I was directing his conference, but the thing is… we talked yesterday, and then he says to me: ‘Hey, uh, hi, na, na, na, is it possible… could you come direct the staging of my conference?’… So I said: ‘Yeah, I direct the staging, but maybe someone else would be more competent given that it’s a conference.’ That’s all I said, then this morning, poof, it’s me directing the staging. Uh… Guillaume, call me, you jerk,” he declares, exhibiting expressions of confusion and discomfort.

Guillaume Breaks Silence… Or Does He Step Into Character?
Following Michel’s post, Guillaume reposted the announcement on his Instagram page, this time in a permanent post, and spoke up to comment on the situation.
“Okay, just so everyone can follow along. This morning, I posted this,” he begins in the caption alongside the video where he announced that Michel would handle his staging.
“A few hours later, this…,” he adds, in the caption of Michel’s video.
“Okay. Well, uh… Here’s the deal, first, I think I was clear when I told you: I need help with the staging. You told me: Yes… yes, I could do it, so… So, yes, I’ll do it, I’ll… I’m here, I’m your guy, at least, that’s how I take it. You tell me: Uh… wow! Wait a minute, this isn’t me who’s doing the staging. Okay, but now, just plug in when you tell someone, and that you’re famous, and that you’re Michel Courtemanche: I’ll handle the staging of your conference, and I’m even offering you a, you know, well… You might not be at $150, but it’s a reasonable salary to carry out the staging of my conference, and after that you tell me no in front of everyone. Sorry, sorry, well… in any case, we’re not going to settle this in front of everyone. Call me, I’m at home,” Guillaume declares.
Curtains Rise and… Is This a Theatre? The Audience, Popcorn in Hand!
In the comments beneath Guillaume’s posts, several users say they’re convinced this is a grand staging meant to hype the project.
“I guess this whole thing is a two-person joke,” muses one commenter.
“What a brilliant publicity move!!! Bravo, guys,” praises another.
“We almost believe it,” declares another.
“Come on, this is scripted,” adds yet another person.
Clearly, the public isn’t buying a real feud here and seems to be enjoying it, as if they’re watching a carefully staged “play” unfold live before their eyes.
So, what do you think: are we witnessing a genuine conflict… or a trailer for one?
