New Junior Recruits Debut on Salut Bonjour

Julie Ringuette and her partner Pascal Morissette, both longtime contributors to the popular morning program, were recently on the show for a segment.

Away from TV, Julie Ringuette melted the web by sharing an adorable story: her two little ones, Éva and Sam, seated at a desk in front of their computer, like real little employees ready to conquer Salut Bonjour!

Before Shining on TV, the Mini Ringuettes Light Up the Home!

They may not have been in front of the camera as contributors, but the two minis were still at the center of discussions!

Indeed, Julie, who is now also a contributor to Salut Bonjour Week-end, spoke with humor and sincerity about her new reality: a Friday-to-Sunday solo mom, while Pascal is away in another city for the show.

She confessed that when she finds herself alone with her daughters, she tries to turn everyday tasks—often less exciting—into moments of fun. For example, bath time becomes a real home spa, with relaxing music, hydrating masks, and cucumbers… which, of course, end up being eaten!

“It’s just about getting creative to make the dull chores, like cleaning, a bit more enjoyable, because since Dad isn’t around on weekends, on Saturdays and Sundays I’ve got to get it all done — washing, tidying, vacuuming, mopping… To get the vacuum moving, I have to come up with a little fun idea…,” she says with a smile, explaining that she turned the chore into a game: the vacuum becomes a ghost trap and the dust, the targets to eliminate!

The product used to clean the table also turned into a magic potion that makes stains vanish as if by enchantment! And for cleaning up the clothes, the girls get a healthy dose of courage—liquid, in other words, a well-deserved glass of juice.

Julie wrapped up her segment by paying tribute to moms and dads who raise their children alone. She also acknowledged having fully grasped the challenge, even though, in her case, she only experiences it from time to time.

Before making their TV debut on Salut Bonjour, the girls still have a lot on their plate: between ghost hunts and magical-cleaning sessions, their schedule is full! They still have a few years to go before moving from desks to the screen.
