Marie-Lyne Joncas Is Expecting a Baby with the Love of Her Life

Back from an incredible sun-drenched trip, Marie-Lyne Joncas breezed by the set of On va se le dire, hosted by Sébastien Diaz, where the hot topic of the moment was tackled: her love life, now more fulfilled than ever.

As-tu vu quelque chose? Discrétion assurée.

The actress and comedian, who had confirmed in advance, after sharing photos with her partner, that he was indeed her beloved, opened up about their relationship, in which she is thriving, as evidenced by the happiness she radiated.

Furthermore, she used the moment to share a few revelations about the stage they’re currently at.

Introductions with Beaming Smiles

After images of them together appeared on the big screen and the host signaled his desire to bring the topic up with her, Marie-Lyne proudly, and with visible excitement, introduced the man who makes her heart race.

“Look how handsome he is! (…) His name is Steven Lee Potvin. He’s incredibly talented,” she says, smiling, echoing what she had told us about how they met—that she first met him on the set of Dumas.

“We met on the set of Dumas,” the personality notes.

A Baby in the Plans?

“Since then, well… you know, that’s it, I’m going to have a child with him, I imagine…,” she blurts out in a tone that is both semi-serious and teasing, prompting surprised reactions from the studio personalities.

“Is he finding out right now?” asks Patrice Bélanger, also present on the show.

Ah, no. Not at all — he wants to, too,” she asserts.

“We’re practicing right now. Right now, we’re practicing (…) we’re in rehearsal,” Marie-Lyne quips with humor.

Clearly deeply committed to this relationship, Joncas was asked whether she was certain she’d found the man of her life.

“Yes. My aunt Josée told me when I was young: When you know, you know. And then I really met him, and I thought, Oof, that’s kind of it,” she says, before Louis T., another guest, presses her on how long the relationship has lasted.

“Louis, don’t ask questions. (laughs) We met in September,” Marie-Lyne confesses, prompting a skeptical comment noting that by January she already considers him the man of her life.

After flashing a moment of astonishment, Marie-Lyne reiterates that, indeed, she knows it.

Sébastien then backs up his guest, noting that the length of a relationship does not necessarily define its seriousness, recalling that he himself proposed to Bianca a year after their first meeting.

Hey, seriously, I’d like you to let me… really live my idyll. I’m in honeymoon mode right now, okay? Thanks,” says the woman who plays Sophie in Dumas and who deftly hosted F#%! 2025 – Le Roast de l’année Juste pour rire.

“I’m 38, he’s 39, and that’s that; I’m not pregnant, but almost,” she jokes, as her colleagues tease her about her age.

“I’d be in geriatric pregnancy territory, we’ll say (… ),” adds Joncas.

Patrice Bélanger’s Well-Wishes, Shared by All

“If that’s how you feel, I wish you that… because that’s beautiful, you know… And I’m lucky to have been in a relationship for a long time; it still goes very well. A lasting couple is beautiful, I think. It’s the example I have from my parents and parents-in-law, so kudos if you’ve found each other,” Patrice shares, with words that are both reassuring and encouraging.

“Thanks, Pat. Really,” Marie-Lyne thanks him, before a few more jests follow.

A wonderful new life milestone for someone who has never hidden her desire to have children, and for whom this wonderful project could eventually come true. We wish her lots of happiness and reiterate our best wishes.
