Curly Mood: The French Brand Behind a Curly Hair Mask and Eyebrow Pencil Everyone’s Talking About

The market for textured-hair care continues to expand, but few brands manage to combine real effectiveness, minimalist designs, and a strong, recognizable identity. Yet Curly Mood pulls off that exact balance—a young French brand slowly establishing itself as a new reference for curly, coily, and tight-textured hair. With vegan formulations, French manufacturing, and products designed to simplify routines, it’s winning over an ever-growing community.

An Adventure Born in a Teenage Bedroom

Long before Curly Mood existed formally, its story began in the schoolyard. Passionate about hair care, Myriam Chatoui was already crafting her own blends of vegetable oils in her bedroom. At a moment when options for textured hair were scarce, she envisioned treatments that would nourish curls without weighing them down.

Her early creations quickly earned a small following among friends and family. With limited stock and a single hair cream, she built word-of-mouth sales, fueled by a simple belief: taking care of your curls shouldn’t feel like a battle. This idea gave birth to Curly Mood, officially launched in 2023.

A meteoric rise

In just a few years, the young company has climbed rapidly. Two flagship products have played a pivotal role in its ascent: the Bounce Cream, which has become a staple in curly-hair routines, and the Coco Brow Gel, a brow-fix gel that quickly found its audience.

This growth coincided with closer engagement with its community through several pop-up shops, first in Montpellier and then in Paris.

The latest event, held in May, confirmed the momentum behind the brand. More than 2,100 visitors turned out, with waits of up to three hours on opening day. On social networks, Curly Mood also saw a surge, jumping from 7,000 to 10,700 followers on TikTok in a matter of days and from 15,000 to over 26,000 on Instagram.

Now 100% Made in France

To support its growth, Curly Mood has just taken another meaningful step forward. The brand recently opened new offices and invested in a 400 m² warehouse to sustain its expansion.

Another major evolution: the entire range of hair-care products is now manufactured in France. This choice reflects a commitment to quality while giving the brand greater control over its production.

Vegan, cruelty-free, and mindful of its environmental impact, Curly Mood promotes a modern beauty philosophy where performance goes hand in hand with simplicity.

Curly Mood’s Signature Products

It’s impossible to discuss the brand without highlighting the Bounce Cream, its iconic product. Recently reformulated, this styling cream deeply nourishes hair, helps define curls, minimizes frizz, and adds shine—without a heavy, cardboard-like feel or any residue.

Another bestseller, the Coco Brow Gel has quickly established itself as a must-have for taming brows. Its texture holds hairs in place for long-lasting definition while preserving a natural look, a favorite among “clean look” devotees.

For frequent travelers, the Mini Hair Routine is a portable kit that gathers four essentials from the brand: the Bubble Shampoo, the Bounce Cream, the Bounce Jelly, and the Jelly Serum. It’s a complete routine that cleanses, hydrates, and defines curls on the go.
