I’m really looking forward to it, though.
The host of Occupation Double, Alicia Moffet, recently held a brief Q&A on her Instagram page, answering a bunch of questions from her followers, especially about marriage and kids.
A Wedding Date on the Calendar?
“We’re genuinely busy—really busy. To be honest, we’re not rushing to tie the knot. In fact, saying ‘get married’ feels so odd. I kind of feel like a teen contemplating marriage. It just sounds weird when I say it. But yeah, probably not before two or three years. We’ve got a ton of plans we want to check off first. We’ll likely buy a new house, and we’d probably like to start a family before saying ‘I do.’ So, two to three years, maybe sooner, maybe later. I’m excited, but I’m not in a hurry. I’ve got my ring, so I can be patient now,” explained the star, who revealed she said “yes” to Frédérick Robichaud’s big proposal in June 2025.
A Baby on the Horizon?
“Let’s talk about babies. Like I tell you all the time, a baby isn’t in our near-term plans, but it isn’t completely out of the question either—no waiting around for forever, you know. Billie is six and will turn seven in July. I’m 27, my partner is 28, and while we don’t want to be having kids at 35, I’d love to have another child before turning 30. It’s a delicate balance—aging and not making impulsive, naive choices anymore. It’s not that my daughter is an impulsive decision, but when you have a child for the first time, especially at the age I had my daughter, it’s a lot more naïve and you’re not exactly prepared for it. Now that I’m 27 and have a six-year-old, I know what I’m getting into if we have another child, so this is far more thought-out, which is why I’m not in a rush. The time will come—definitely another one, for sure—but I don’t know when, it’s kind of a “I don’t know” moment. Still, I’m really excited,” the singer adds, who has always been open about expanding her family.
We wish the little family lots of love and sweetness, and that their plans come to fruition whenever they’re ready to pursue them.
