Since her Miss France crown in 1999, Mareva Galanter has come a long way. A model, singer, ukulele player, actress, and television host, the former beauty queen continues to broaden her professional horizons. And her fashion career still seems far from finished! The Gisèle Paris agency has just announced her addition to its roster of talents—a new collaboration that arrives amid a particularly delicate climate.

“Thrilled to join this team”
It was on Instagram that Gisèle Paris announced Mareva Galanter’s arrival. “NEW TALENT,” the agency proclaimed, before presenting its new recruit as “a iconic personality with a singular path, who moves between fashion, culture, music and the art of living.”
The news was quickly met with a reaction from the main subject. In the comments of the post, Mareva Galanter expressed her enthusiasm: “Very happy to join this team.” A new chapter for someone who has diversified her activities since winning the Miss France pageant.
An agency at the center of a boycott call
But this recruitment comes a few months after a controversy targeting Gisèle Paris. The agency was the subject of a boycott call, notably amplified by Rima Hassan. Gisèle Journo, co-founder of the outfit, was accused of sharing content from the Israeli military on her Instagram account.
In response to the criticisms, Gisèle Paris issued a statement to address the accusations and clarify its position. The agency acknowledged that posts shared by its founder could have “hurt, in such a painful context.”
However, she contested any interpretation implying that she would endorse violence against Palestinian civilians: “We have never supported or endorsed the deaths of Palestinian civilians. To say so or imply it is false. In the face of such a grave accusation, we believe it is important to state this clearly and unambiguously.”
In the same statement, the agency also condemned “insults, threats, anti-Semitic remarks and hateful messages” directed at certain members of its team.
