A Geely Village at the Foot of the Eiffel Tower to Launch the Electric City Car
From August 28 to 30, 2026, the banks of the Seine hosted an extraordinary automotive event: the Geely Village, installed at quai Jacques Chirac, just steps from the Eiffel Tower. For three days, this ephemeral setup transformed the 7th arrondissement into a showroom for electric mobility. The star of the village? The Geely E2, a 100% electric city car unveiled in its signature Aurora Green. After a media- and partner-only first day, the general public could discover the car on August 29 and 30, touch it, sit inside, and even take the wheel during urban test drives organized at the foot of the monument. With its “It’s Going to Be BIG” campaign, rolled out in five promises (technology, space, comfort, safety, and design), the Chinese brand signals its ambition to establish a lasting presence in the French automotive landscape by choosing such a symbolic setting to anchor its arrival.
Beauty, Sport and Fashion: When the Electric Car Embraces Your Everyday Life
The Geely Village was nothing like a traditional showroom. Designed as an urban living experience, it blended technology, well-being, and creativity through thematic pavilions offering real-life scenarios rather than mere spec sheets. The most striking demonstration: a Ulike laser hair-removal device, plugged directly into the car thanks to the V2L feature, which lets you power electrical devices from the battery, turning a beauty touch-up in nature into a real possibility. On the relaxation side, Zencca invited visitors to pause with Asian tea, while the Parisian studio Snake & Twist led Pilates sessions facing the Eiffel Tower. Fashion wasn’t left out: on Friday, August 28, young designers from Mod’Art International presented a runway show in which models moved around the vehicle, followed by a closing night at the Gustave Eiffel Salon, in partnership with Le Printemps. Five collaborations, five ways to show that the Geely E2 is a partner to all your life rhythms, far more than just a means of transport.
A Versatile City Car, From City Life to Weekend Escapes
Beyond the event, the car itself has plenty to entice buyers. At 4.13 meters long, it offers a 375-liter trunk, expandable to 1,320 liters with the rear seat folded, complemented by a 70-liter front trunk (a rarity in its class) and 36 storage compartments. Two battery options are offered: 35.35 kWh in the Pro trim, 47.14 kWh in Pro+ and Max+ trims, delivering up to 345 km WLTP (about 214 miles). Fast charging takes the battery from 10% to 80% in 26 minutes. Equipment includes a 14.6-inch central display, seven airbags, and 23 driver-assistance features. Six colors are available, including Nova Pink and Comet Gray, with a bi-tone presentation in the Max+ finish. Priced from €20,990 (roughly $22,000 at current exchange rates), this city car aims to go beyond the confines of the city, making daily commutes and weekend getaways easy to manage.
