«So, since November, here’s what I’ve been doing… Once a month, at the start of the month, what I did in November was grab a big trash bag and, when there was no one else in the family around, I filled it with things I consider we no longer need… These are family items, say: certain toys, things we weren’t using, decorations. And there, I ran a test: the first month, I filled the trash bag…» recounts Pierre.
«I have to restrain myself from shouting,» Christine comments.
«And then, what I did was fill the bag, and I told myself: I’ll wait a month. I put the bag in the back of the storage room. I’ll wait a month to see: would anyone notice that we no longer had this item in the kitchen?… No one noticed. So after that month, I pulled the bag out, and I sorted through it… Now it’s been four months… I’m going to do it again in February…» explains Pierre.
