A gesture, both intimate and powerful!
Kim Rusk and Amélie B. Simard have long shared a charming camaraderie and a deeply solid friendship. Over the years, they have lived through a multitude of adventures together, projects, bursts of laughter, and memorable moments, and you can feel their bond strengthening with every milestone.
Indeed, their closeness is now etched in memory forever. The two women offered themselves a beautiful (and symbolic) proof of love and friendship by tattooing an identical design on their arms. A gesture that is at once intimate and powerful, which speaks volumes about the unique link they share and about the journey they’ve traveled together.
Their choice fell on a serpent, its tip topped with a small star that they had done at a Montréal tattoo studio.
“Besties’tattoo,” they remark beside images of this beautiful moment.
Adorable! Through this gesture and the bond they nurture, the two personalities prove that true, lasting friendships still exist and can weather time when they are well cared for.
And you, would you get a tattoo with someone you love? If you’ve already done it, what’s your matching tattoo?
Looking back at a pivotal turning point that led Amélie to where she is today
Recently, Amélie B. Simard shared a post in which she celebrated a major milestone in her journey: twelve years of sobriety.
On her social networks, the actress spoke about the path that brought her to today’s abstinence, her rediscovery, and a better understanding of herself.
She testified to how this personal choice has proven positive in every aspect of her life.
“January 9, 2014: I entered therapy for the second time. I’m 29 years old. I’m emotionally distressed at that moment. Nothing is going well. Today, January 10, it has become MY date,” Amélie began.
“It’s been 12 years now that I renew every day the choice to live without drugs or alcohol. Twelve years of discovering myself through all of this, of better understanding myself. Even in the roller coaster moments that can be exhilarating, I find that life is much sweeter without consuming. Learning to feel the discomfort instead of freezing it to avoid feeling. Living the beautiful moments, completely sober. I come from a place where alcoholism has long been part of my family. The fact that my children have never seen me with an altered temperament fills me with infinite gratitude, almost indescribable. Not consuming is a personal choice, but for me it has proven to be markedly better for my mental health and well-being. Twelve years ago, I asked for help… and I was given help. Ask for help if you’re not doing well. Things can get better,” she testified, showing remarkable resilience and strength, and becoming a true model for anyone facing a similar challenge.
An inspiring journey and a moving testimony.
