Did you catch anything? Discretion assured.
Among others, we spotted Mike at RONA, milk commercials, and the St-Hubert spots. Original, surprising concepts… and completely mind-blowing.
These ads also opened up a contest, since the audience could vote to choose their favorite ad. The winners are now unveiled.
In first place, the milk advertisement takes the top prize—a brilliantly executed spot that features several generations—from the great-grandson to the great-grandmother, including the grandfather and the parents.
A Century Old, Yet Still Radiant… Still Relevant
There you can see the renowned Janette Bertrand, who throughout her career helped demystify taboos and move public attitudes forward. A woman of stature, still as approachable as ever, at almost 101 years old.
She plays a very sweet grandma, surrounded by her great-grandchildren, and it’s simply adorable. You can see how well they managed to bridge the generations—from the older folks to the youngsters. And when you mention cake and sweets… you’re inevitably thinking of a good glass of milk!
It was on The Milk Family’s Facebook page that we learned of this beautiful victory.
“BECAUSE OF YOU, our advertisement featuring a great-grandmother in
OR
won
the GOLD
at the Bye Bye of ads! We’re ALMOST more spoiled than cute kids… spoiled to have devoted fans like you, year after year! As this campaign wraps up on a high note, we wish you a happy new year and see you next year!”
But that’s not all: the second place goes to none other than Mike at RONA. Yes, after a year of big laughs in 2025, he seems determined to keep the momentum going into 2026!
The third spot goes to the Metro advertisement.
For some generations, there’s something comforting about listening to advertisements. With the rise of recorders, we have fewer opportunities to discover the creativity behind many of them. In short, it was a wonderful segment of the Bye Bye.
All Our Congratulations to Janette and Her Little Monsters!
