Shoot your scoop
Have you seen something? Quietly, discreetly.
More than thirty years after the debuts of Woody, Buzz Lightyear and their friends, the franchise continues to excite fans around the world.
Joining this excitement is now a surprising musical phenomenon. Singer Taylor Swift stunned fans by seeing her track “I Knew It, I Knew You,” from the film’s soundtrack, debut straight at the top of the Billboard Hot 100. A milestone that adds even more momentum to the anticipation surrounding Toy Story 5.
A Select Club
The success of “I Knew It, I Knew You” is historic in more ways than one. By debuting at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, the track becomes only the third song from an animated Disney movie to reach the top of the prestigious chart.
Before it, only “A Whole New World” from Aladdin in 1993 and “We Don’t Talk About Bruno” from Encanto in 2022 had achieved this feat.
This latest accomplishment also helps Taylor Swift extend her formidable hold on the music industry. With this being her 15th No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, the American icon now stands alone in third place for artists with the most chart-toppers. She trails only the Beatles, who have 20 No. 1s, and Mariah Carey, who has 19.
With this new milestone, Swift breaks the tie she previously shared with Rihanna and Drake, who each logged 14 songs reaching No. 1 on the chart.

Already Millions of Streams!
The track logged 27.2 million on-demand streams across streaming platforms, underscoring the enormous fan fervor for this new collaboration between the singer and the Disney universe.
On radio, the song also had an impressive start, racking up 46.7 million impressions with listeners. This strong radio presence helped push the track quickly to the upper echelon of current favorites.
In terms of sales, 87,000 digital copies found buyers during the launch week. This figure is particularly notable because the limited-edition CD and vinyl releases Swift offered in her online store had not yet shipped during the counting period.
These results once again confirm Taylor Swift’s exceptional ability to generate massive buzz the moment a new song drops.

The Wait Is Over
North American fans of Pixar can finally mark their calendars. After months of speculation and rumors, Toy Story 5 is set to hit theaters on June 19, 2026.
This new chapter will bring back Woody, Buzz Lightyear and a cast of beloved characters who helped shape the childhoods of millions at the close of the 20th century.
Produced by Pixar Animation Studios and distributed by Disney, this fifth adventure promises to blend nostalgia with modern sensibilities to appeal to longtime fans and new generations alike.
With a summer release strategically placed, Toy Story 5 is shaping up to be one of the most awaited cinematic events of 2026.
